Lasalle Electric Supply Co was founded in 1952 as an electric supply distributor in Detroit, MI. Originally owned and operated by Bert Gatward, it remains a family owned business with Jim Gatward at the helm today. Locally LaSalle supports a vast number of industrial customers directly supporting Detroit's automotive industry. With a half century of experience in the electrical and lighting fields, LaSalle remains an ideal source for commercial and industrial electrical and lighting applications. In 1980 Jim Gatward started the Airline Sales Division after beginning in the airline industry at Delta Airlines. Over the next twenty years LaSalle grew into the world's largest distributor of Aircraft Lighting Products. By staying focused on lighting and the very important balance between manufacturer, quality and price, LaSalle remains committed to helping the Customer create and maintain a cost effective balance between quality products and competitive prices.

Currently LaSalle supports every major commercial fleet type in the world today.
